What recent guests emphasize

Exceptional service, stunning views, and well-equipped accommodations

Guests highlight the resort's beautiful setting and attentive staff, balanced with some practical challenges related to resort policies and location.

Guests often praise

  • Impressive ocean and sunrise views, with opportunities to see whales from rooms and common areas.
  • High-quality service with friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring staff across restaurants, beach, and housekeeping.
  • Beautiful property featuring multiple pools, well-maintained grounds, and easy beach access.
  • Comfortable and clean accommodations, many with kitchenettes and balconies overlooking the ocean or pools.
  • Diverse dining options including notable restaurants with varied menus and good food quality.

Worth knowing

  • The resort engages in frequent upselling, which some guests find intrusive, especially Hilton Grand Vacations members.
  • Water is only provided in limited small bottles with no filtered stations; buying extra water offsite is recommended.
  • A beach and pool chair reservation system involving towels and objects to hold seats leads to conflicts and guest frustration.
  • Located about 25 minutes from the marina and towns, transportation is necessary to reach local attractions and dining outside the resort.
  • Pool water temperature can be warm for some guests, and the beach sand consists of fine pebbles rather than soft sand.

Best for

  • Travelers seeking a relaxing, scenic beachfront resort with luxury amenities and attentive service.
  • Couples and romantic getaways looking for quiet ambiance and beautiful sunsets or whale watching.
  • Families appreciating multiple pools, kid-friendly services, and spacious rooms with kitchen facilities.
  • Guests interested in beach activities such as swimming, jet skiing, paddleboarding, and horse riding nearby.
  • Visitors wanting easy access to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo by car or taxi.

About this property

Welcome to Hilton Grand Vacations Club La Pacifica Los Cabos

Hilton Grand Vacations Club La Pacifica Los Cabos is a 4.7-rated resort hotel situated along the Carretera Transpeninsular in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Offering a blend of outdoor pools, a spa, fitness center, and beach access, it caters to travelers seeking both relaxation and recreation. The property features air-conditioned accommodations with options that include kitchens in some rooms and kid-friendly amenities, supported by free Wi-Fi and onsite dining venues like restaurants, bars, and room service.

The location provides convenient access to nearby popular beaches such as Chileno Bay and Santa Maria Beach, both well-regarded for swimming and snorkeling opportunities, as well as the Cabo del Sol golf area. Though transportation is necessary to reach San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the hotel’s setting offers a quieter, more private atmosphere away from busy marina areas. Guests typically appreciate the ocean views and the chance to observe wildlife like whales from the property.

Guest experiences highlight the attentive and friendly staff, with particular commendation for restaurant service and the helpfulness of the onsite doctor for medical needs. However, some reviews note issues such as the lack of filtered water stations and a challenging beach chair reservation culture that may require patience. The hotel supports accessible services and provides free parking, though it does not offer airport shuttle service.

With its well-maintained pools, hot tub, spa, and business center, the resort is suitable for both families and individuals seeking a comfortable resort environment. Visitors interested in beach activities, scenic ocean views, and moderately easy access to area attractions will find the Hilton Grand Vacations Club La Pacifica a practical choice, though some guests suggest planning accordingly for extras like water and beach seating arrangements.

The resort is beautiful. Impeccable beach, pools, decor, rooms and restaurants. The service staff is also incredible, with the restaurant Vela being exceptionally notable. Our issue is that even with the expected pricey location, the resort seemed to play a game of nickel and diming every little thing. It's even worse if you're an HGV member...captive audience for harassment and upsell. I was bothered over 6 separate times, sometimes when I was sleeping, to take a ridiculous member update. Just beware of the prices..guac is $25usd. Drinks are around $20usd.

Everything that the other reviewers say about the staff is true - everyone is super kind and in a genuine way. You can ask questions and they will give you lots of helpful information or try to get an answer. The restaurant staff will make sure to check on your orders, ask about allergies, and share additional options. Of course, it is important to make sure to tip folks for help around the resort as they are working extremely hard. The views are incredible, and you can literally see whales passing by while eating breakfast. We had a full ocean view and you could perfectly see the sunrise every morning. The beach was perfect for swimming. There are two major cons (that could be solved by the resort easily): 1) There are no filtered water stations and they for you two small bottles each day. Extra bottles are for sale at a usurious price for a necessity in an arid environment that does not have potable water. We bought more than 20 liters of water at the nearest grocery store (giant 5L bottles) to ensure we had enough water. 2) The beach/pool chair reservation system is humanity at its worst. You can technically “reserve” any of the non-cabana chairs by putting a towel and some random object on a chair and the hold said chair for as long as you want. I would get a beach chair at 6am by placing a towel, book, and old banana (something no one would dare move) because it became an arms race of who could get there first. Most people would not come to claim their chair until 10-11am and someone would never come (leaving something they didn’t care about). I heard some families talk about how they had reserved chairs at both the pools and beach, making an artificial shortage. I didn’t mind doing this crazy process since I was on east coast time and only wanted two chairs on the beach. However, I saw multiple families fight and accuse each other of “moving/taking” chairs because of this absurd norm for fake reserving chairs. Hilton management - you could simply make a rule that you have to be at your chair and that you can’t be away for more than 30 min - hour. The staff sadly have to defend the craziest humans and suggest to new guests that don’t know the informal norm, “well you could come before sunrise and leave some items at the chairs you want”. I would definitely come back despite those two drawbacks.

This resort is outstanding! The rooms, service, food and staff are all amazing. It is located between San Lucas and San Jose providing easy access to either. However, neither is walkable. Transportation is required for getting into either city. All of the restaurants are great and range from casual poolside to elegant dinner options. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel. This is our first time staying here and love almost everything. We had premium studio room on 6th floor overlooking one of the pools and the ocean. Fabulous. Had king bed, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink, dishes, and utensils. Nice balcony with 2 comfortable chairs. Housecleaning was super nice. Cleaned our rooms every days. Pools were wonderful. Three pools. Ample loungers and not crowded. Good restaurant near pool called Mio. Good sushi. Getting to ocean was very easy. A couple of beautiful concrete paths that zigzag their way down to the beach. Sand is not fine sand. Very fine pebbles. May hurt your feet. Ocean was rough the first 4 days we were there but smoothed out the last 2. Water crystal clear and refreshing. Pools were a bit warm for us. I’d say about 88-90 degrees. We did Taco Tuesday at the Televera restaurant. $40/person. But it was good. Breakfast was good at Televera too. Continental breakfast was $24/person and the whole buffet was $40/person. Pretty expensive. We went shopping for groceries the second day we got there and ate breakfast and lunch in our room. Sandwiches and stuff. Save some money like that. Vella was good for one night. Italian dishes.

A few things…the location is amazing so close to airport and San Jose. You can also swim in the sea which is so amazing. Pool is very nice, tacos are were great. My wife didnt feel well (which had nothing to do with resort) and Dr Fernandez the onsite doctor was EXCEPTIONAL. Came to the room and provided exemplary care, even walked with her to the store to ensure she had correct over the counter medication along with prescribed. The staff cooked her very specific bland meals that helped get her recovered. Second time there and there will be a third!!!

Wow, the nicest place to relax, with infinity pools, gorgeous sunsets and moon nights, the service is just exceptional, food id excelent, the staff is soo friendly and personal. On the beach side, they have their own little bay so, you can swim there and right next to the hotel outside on the sand there is a service with plenty of activities to rent, like jet sky, paddle, ATV, also horse riding on the beach. Great for wedding events, I witnessed one during my stay, very romantic with the sunset background. Ah the bonus if you go in the right season (like Jan to April) you'll get to experience watching whales passing by on the ocean from the comfort of your room balcony, or from the pool area, that was amazing, I saw dozens of them.

Amazing views and pools. The property is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Only negative would be that it's a 25 min ride from the marina area... but for quiet and romance, this is it!!

The whole trip was amazing, but what stood out the most to us was the service. They must have an excellent training program. All the restaurants were great. Our first waiter was a young man named Guillermo and he made us feel like we were so special. On the beach you had Christian and Fidel who were also incredible. Vela was our favorite restaurant and the waiters there were the best ever. Fernando was so good and all his co-workers as well. Thank you for such a great trip. Neva and I are both so grateful!!!!
